I am now
accepting badges and 8x10 commissions. For details
on how to make a commission, please read below.
I'm known
as the Badge Queen at furry conventions! You too can get
a full-color name badge of your character. Badges are sturdy
plastic, top-loading, 3"x 4" with metail clip.
The standard landscape (horizontal) format includes your
character's name and headshot, and is $35.
The portrait (vertical) format allows for your character's
name and full-body shot, and costs $40.
8x10
commissions are coloured with Prismacolor markers, and start
at $100 for a one-character piece with
simple background (for example, the character sitting on
a chair, or a colour block behind the character).
Here's
How It Works
1.
Email me with your request. What does your character look
like? Be as specific as you can; I'll ask you for more details
if I need them. Does your character have a favorite outfit,
typical expression? (Remember that a badge is very
small and cannot accommodate too much detail.)
2.
You send in your payment by PayPal (to: marci@frithcat.com),
and let me know what your mailing address is. Include shipping:
$5 for badges and $8 for
8x10 pieces within Canada and the US ($7 and $10 for International
shipping).

(Note: All of
my commissions are done in order of when I receive them,
but priority is given to those that are paid for. Commissions
are not started until payment has been received.)
3.
I draw a pencil sketch of your commission and email it to
you. This is your chance to correct any details I may have
forgotten and request minor changes. (There is a fee for
major changes.)
4.
I finish inking and coloring the picture and mail the original
piece of artwork to you.
Copies And The Web
The copyright for a badge belongs to the
person whose commission it is. If you want to put your picture
up on your website, go right ahead-- let me know, though,
I'd love to see! And if you want to add a link back to my
site, I'd be most gratified. Please respect copyrights when
dealing with art on the web. Copyright for 8x10 commissions
is retained by me so that I can make prints, unless we make
other arrangements (you can pay an additional fee for an
exclusive commission, where I agree to make no prints or
post the piece online).
For detailed copyright information, especially
as it relates to artwork, Glen Wooten and
Mel White have written an excellent article
covering most FAQ's you can think of. Visit
it here.
